In the 1800's, Dr. Usui set out to discover the healing methods used by Christ, as described in the Bible. His studies took him beyond Christian teachings into the realm of Ancient Buddhism, where he found evidence of these miracles.
    While meditating in the Tibetan mountains, his vigilance was rewarded when he experienced intense visions of ancient symbols and teachings. At that moment, the healing practice of Reiki was born. Though there are many forms of healing, Reiki alone is known as the healing light of Christ and the other Ascended Masters. Dr. Usui initiated many to the practice of Reiki through a series of attunements, which can only be performed by an initiated Reiki Master. Then the student must learn to direct the energy through symbols designed not only to heal the physical body, but the soul as well. To be attuned to Reiki is to feel that intense energy coursing through your veins like a river of light, cleansing and healing your being.
    Reiki is not only used for self healing practices, but also to heal those both close to you and those at a great distance. You may study many different healing modalities in your lifetime. But only Reiki is the energy of the Ascended Masters, a gift from the Heavens that can heal all things with the touch of your hands!
